hello you lot
I am yet agin asking for advice!!
We are thinknig this year that we would try a holiday camp, everything a 12 and 10 year old could want!
Only trouble is we cant afford centre parks and the last time i went to butlins (15 years ago) I could not bear it.
We thought perhaps Haven, anybody been?
Would appreciate any comments and any other ideas
Thankyou so much
Love Melanie

I have been, Mel, but I don't think I'll be much help as it was donkey's years ago. All I can say is that we all had a great time, and I'm sure they will have maintained the standard.

We went to a Haven camp last year, Combe Haven - one of those cheap newspaper deals and even though we upgraded to a superior caravan it was not good - mind you we are Center Parcs devotees so maybe we have been spoilt. I imagine you won't have the problems we had as your children are much older than ours (who were 3 and nearly 1 at the time) we really struggled as the facilities weren't geared up for very young children - I'm sure older ones would love it though. Back to Center Parcs for us this year - as we can go out of school holidays it makes it a bit more affordable.

hi Mel

My brother and his family (kids 15,14,9) went to the one in Snowdonia last week and had a fantastic time. There was lots to do in the area, the scenery was beautiful, and a club for the kiids meant that the adults could have some free time. He didn't comment on the accommodation- I suppose it was ok as he didn't complain- which he certainly would have done if there had been anything wrong. I can ask him if you like.
